The primary responsibility of this position is to accurately scan and label items, physically process customer packages, and ensure they are correctly tracked in the inventory management system. Responsible for providing ground support for inbound and outbound aircraft. This position loads and unloads, services, guides, pushes back and directs aircraft. Transporting cargo to and from the aircraft in a safe and timely manner. This agent is also responsible for weighing, stacking, picking up, and delivering all cargo to the appropriate location. As qualified, you will also operate all power and other ground equipment, including pushbacks, tugs, tow bars, etc. as directed in order to complete aircraft operations.
Responsible for understanding weight and balance theory and adhering to the aircraft operator and manufacturer requirements. Provides information to management for pre-sort and during sort production meetings such as status of container inventory, planned containers by flight, status of damaged containers or nets, and other special sort-specific load instructions. Responsible for routing inbound and outbound air cargo and USPS mail shipments to their destinations by taking telephone orders from customers, arranging for pickup of freight and delivery to the loading area and scanning/sorting inbound and outbound mail. This agent also physically handles cargo and Comat, by hand or by machine such as forklifts. They will provide cargo security screenings, and accept/process any hazardous/restricted material shipments in accordance with company and governmental rules and regulations.

Additionally, this position requires conducting regular inspections of warehouse facilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and resolving any issues related to inventory accuracy or cargo handling. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth operation of the airport’s warehouse and cargo handling services.
