Essential Duties:

  • Determines equipment and best method to rig up according to the package the customer selects.
  • Read, write, and communicate.
  • Able to work the night shift or day shift.
  • With the assistance of other Operators, unloads and assembles the equipment to be used, sets up the service unit, and initiates the rig up.

Essential Duties:

  • Main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Fabricate, install, repair, and maintain piping systems, such as stainless steel, galvanized, CPVC, Kynar/Teflon lined steel, and FRP systems according to plant specifications.
  • Repair and maintenance of evaporator burners and blowers. Person(s) should have knowledge of natural gas heating systems and burner operation to troubleshoot issues and achieve minor repairs/replacement in kind of parts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot general industrial devices such as inductive motors and photo-eyes
  • Ability to use volt meters and other electrical test equipment
  • Ability to use oxygen/acetylene gas cutting
  • Ability to maintain all plant equipment by utilizing PdM, PM, and other maintenance strategies.
  • Demonstrate ability to repair and maintain pumps such as centrifugal, mag drive, diaphragm, and metering pumps. To include troubleshooting, rebuilding, and alignments of shafts and motors.
  • Possess skills to install bearings, seal, gears, chains, sprockets, and other types of mechanical transmission equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace block valves, control valves, solenoid valves, valve positioners, and pneumatic actuators
  • Must be able to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and other onsite plant vehicles
  • Ability to maintain and repair plant lifting equipment such as cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment
  • Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and equipment specifications.
  • Understanding of lockout-tagout procedures and energy isolation techniques preferred
  • Must be able to proficiently operate shop equipment such as drills, saws, grinders, etc.
  • Demonstrate ability to design and fabricate metal structures such as pipe supports, conduit stands, and other related items. Fabrication skills desired will include measuring, cutting with saws, powered cutoff wheels, torches, plasma cutters, drilling, bolting, arc, and MIG welding.
  • Ability to troubleshoot & maintain PLC-based control system circuits and plant instrumentation preferred

Under general supervision, operates in all areas of the plant. Receives direction from the Lead

  • Operator on routine operations. Receives close direction on non‐routine operations.
  • Determines tank levels using level indicators, gauge glasses, measuring tapes, etc.
  • Loads and unloads trucks, ensuring correct connections to storage tanks and properly loaded vehicle weight.
  • Loads and unloads rail cars.
  • Performs basic analytical tests, including pH, density, and alkalinity.
  • Adjusts gas flow to control evaporator temperatures and samples evaporators.
  • Operates forklift and loader.
  • Charges solid raw materials from bags, super sacks, drums, or bulk storage
  • Loads drums and/or tote containers to correct weight.
  • Maintains plant housekeeping.
  • Must maintain knowledge of safety policies and procedures impacting work performed and

Essential Duties:

Perform the day-to-day tasks required to operate and maintain a Clear Brine Fluid blending facility safely. Ensure that all facility activities are conducted in the safest possible manner. Conduct all tasks within the Blend Plant Best Safety Practices and in such a way as to minimize waste and damage of TETRA’s chemical additives, clear brine fluids, and fixed capital assets.

This position is seven (7) days on work and seven (7) off-work rotation. The seven (7) days on the work schedule require the employee to reside in the assigned Blend Plant from 8:00 am on the crew change day until 8:00 AM on the following crew change day. During the on-work rotation, employees are on call and are expected to follow TETRA’s policies and procedures at all times.

  • Actively participate in the development of JSEAs to create safe work practices
  • Adhere to all TETRA and customer safety policies and procedures
  • Adhere to TETRA’s Best Safe Work Practices in all blend plant activities
  • Recording Near Hit Conditions and Incidents

  • Take an active role in keeping the Blend Plant work and residential areas clean and orderly
  • Perform in plant Quality Control activities on all fluids shipped and received
  • Ensure that all pallet material prepared for delivery is ready for shipment.
  • Proper labels are attached to pallets and containers
  • Material is labeled correctly
  • Material containers are in good condition for shipment
  • SDS sheets are provided to transporters for all materials shipped.
  • Ensure all day-to-day and periodic inspections and maintenance are performed and documented.
  • Properly label all plant retained and analysis samples.
  • Perform and document all activities required by QMS
  • Record and provide the Blend Plant Manager with an accurate list of tank strappings and inventory movements you participated in.
  • Monitor the condition of TETRA blend plant equipment and facilities to ensure their continuous “ready for duty” status.
  • Conduct all blend facility operations in such a way as to comply with all TETRA, Customer, and Statutory environmental rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Communicate all information affecting TETRA’s ability to meet customer expectations and schedules for delivering all material orders to the Blend Plant Manager.
  • Communicate all equipment failures, needed maintenance, or repairs to the Blend Plant Manager
  • Communicate all recognized Hazards to co-workers and the Blend Plant Manager.

Reporting to the Iron Shop Foreman, this position will learn the overall job functions of the Iron Shop in a controlled environment.  Iron shop personnel are responsible for in-house servicing and recertifying oil and gas production and flowback equipment.

  • Must perform all duties in a safe manner, observing safe work practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment, always
  • Operate Forklifts to move equipment or materials to and from the storage/repair area
